A collection with a rich history, a collection that can compete in the modern game and a collection that epitomises the word 'Heritage'. Check out our exclusive imagery of a football boot collection that demands respect from all involved in the beautiful game and share your thoughts with the SoccerBible community online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
Each one synonomous for durability, performance and style. Anyone who has worn a pair will fully understand why these are one of the most popular football boots of all time and have survived generations of releases. This is a collection that cuts no corners, a design which focuses on delivering a well made boot that will last and perform time and time again, rather than attempting to draw attention with bright colors and modern technologies.
There's a certain unspoken respect for players who wear the classic collection and it's no surprise to see them on pitch today mixing it up with latest releases! For the outsole, the Adidas Kaiser 5 Liga uses a white PU polyurethane rubber plate with direct-injected round studs. These black moulded cleats provide excellent traction on dry, natural grass.
As part of the Adidas heritage collection, the Adidas Kaiser 5 Liga has a full-grain leather upper. This material is soft and follows the shape of the foot after several uses. The forefoot has several stitching that help enhance the natural ball feel and grip.
It also has the iconic fold-over tongue that is similar to other Adidas heritage soccer cleats. It is reversible with a black patch with a red Adidas logo stitched against the white part of the tongue. This soccer cleat uses a traditional lacing system at the center. It helps in creating a glove-like fit.
Also, the soft synthetic lining of this soccer cleat creates a long-lasting in-shoe comfort. A visible difference between both shoes is the white stripe found rear part of the Adidas Kaiser 5 Liga.

For the Copa Mundial, adidas released a Samba edition, which included five new exotic colourways. For me, the orange base with three black stripes offered a particularly cool look that was very unique on the football pitch.
The newly launched adidas Copa silo has a huge array of new colours, but of course the look of the boot is quite far from the classic Mundial. Despite the price cost, you still get a great boot, and most reviews point to the fact that the Kaiser more than holds its own even before taking into account the price.
This has been a very difficult article to write, as I have been comparing two extremely similar boots. The Copa Mundial is the OG, the boot that has outlasted nearly every other since it was thrown into the football world. The Kaiser Liga was made for a legend in Beckenbauer and was worn by the working class due to the fact it was the cheaper option.
As mentioned, both utilise the same technologies, or lack thereof, and that is why the people love them. Despite the Copa Mundial using better quality leather, I think it is fair to say that the value for money and the lightweight feel of the Kaiser make it the better choice. I know the Copa Mundial has special edition colourways like the Samba, and it has been worn by some of the greatest players of all time. However, the Kaiser Liga, for half the price, it is my pick of the two.
Regardless of all this, both of these boots have stood the test of time, and for that reason alone they should both be considered incredible cleats. This blog is part of our Boot Battles series. Aaron Mooy fan. We use cookies to improve your experience.
